Darkest Dungeon 2: 10 Best Inn Items

Table of Contents
ToggleIn Darkest Dungeon 2, taking a break at the inn is a great way to calm down, and there are many unlockable things that can make that break even better.
Darkest Dungeon 2‘s gameplay loop is nicely broken up by trips to inns, which serve as rest stops on your way to the Mountain. The inn is important because it lets you buy things, improve your skills, and add cool features to your coach.
But what we’re going to look at today are Inn Items. These are consumables that can only be used at an inn. You can get them from fights, caches, or the inn itself. However, some of them are better than others.
Blasphemous Idol

This high-level item is very situational, and since it’s hard to know for sure that it will help you in any way, it can be hard to suggest, but it’s not a bad thing by itself.
The Blasphemous Idol gives the person who uses it one of the following three perks until the next Inn.

- At the start of each round, there is a 5% chance to get a Crit coin.
Because it isn’t exactly stable or dependable, it’s more likely to be found in an inn than to be bought right away at the Hoarder or Provisioner.
Steak & Spuds

It’s always a good idea to feed your Heroes at each Inn, because doing so increases their maximum HP in the next Region. Steak and potatoes is a filling but pricey meal that makes the Hero stronger and increases their Move and Disease Resistance.
This hearty amount does slow down the Speed of the Hero who eats it, so it’s best to give it to frontline tanks like the Leper or Man-At-Arms. It can also help Heroes in the back row who are weak stay put.
Wild Tea

It only takes a few fights with a Plague Doctor who sim ply won’t stop moving around your party for you to develop an eternal hate for certain negative Quirks. You can get rid of these for money at hospitals, but you can also do it at an inn for the price of a cup of tea, which is a very tempting option.
The affect of this item is less useful because there is a small chance that it will also remove a Hero’s positive Quirk. This would be a very bad thing to happen in a game that loves to give out bad luck, but it’s worth taking the chance, particularly since some of the bad Quirks can be so bad.
Candles & Chocolate

You can’t go wrong when you share some fancy chocolates over candles. This item is great for making a Hero’s friendship with another Hero stronger or for making things better between two Heroes who are already angry with each other.
Affinity is a very important part of this Geometry Dash Subzero game, and making sure that all of your heroes are friends or lovers is a great way to breeze through fights because they will heal each other, get revenge on each other, and protect each other without any problems. This also stops the harmful affects of bad relationships, like being locked into less-than-ideal builds. Give them candles and chocolates, and love will grow between them. Oh, and get rid of some stress as well.
My Time In The Desert

Some heroes use stealth a lot, and this inn item gives them a chance to get a stealth token at the beginning of every turn. This is great for heroes who are easy to hurt, like the Plague Doctor, or who have risky ways to fight, like the Occultist.
When the Grave Robber has Stealth, many of her Skills are better, so My Time In The Desert can save her a turn of setting up.
Making it so that enemies simply can’t target your party members is a safe way to keep them alive longer, but remember that this means your other party members will take more attacks. Make sure everyone has enough medicine!
Ceremonial Drum

When it comes to taking hits, many parties have tanky front-liner characters who can take damage and protect their friends. The Man at Arms and the Leper are great examples of this type of fighter, while the Hellion is great at dealing damage from the front line.
These Heroes don’t like being shuffled around and sent to the back of the line. The Ceremonial Drum will help them deal with that by making their skills better at resisting movement, which would otherwise mess up their battle cycles.
Armor Repair Kit

In a similar way, the Armor Repair Kit is a very powerful item—when it actually works. This item from an inn gives the person it is used on a chance to get a Block+ token at the start of every combat turn until the coach hits the next inn.
Block+ is a great object that stops 3/4 of the next attack that is going to hit the Hero. This is great for both tanks who want to take as many hits as possible and characters who are easy to kill with just a few hits.
Roast Pig

When you look at the inn things in this game, they all sound very tasty, so no one would blame you for getting hungry. Roast pig is a very fancy dish, since it can feed everyone at a party.
The Roast Pig is different from other foods in that it can be eaten along with another meal for each Hero. This lets you stack bonuses to the sky!
The party-wide heal is nice, but what really makes this item shine is the Stress heal and the positive affinity gain (with no chance of negative affinity). This meal is a must-buy in my book, and it can be used in almost any case. It has bonuses on three different axes, which makes it a real top-tier item.
Poetry

Some people can’t stand the way poetry sounds or just don’t understand what’s so great about it, sim. The group of Darkest Dungeon 2 makes it clear that this is not true. Poetry makes two Heroes’ Stress go down a lot and gives them a small boost to their Affinity.
Poetry is better than Whiskey as a cheap way to build trust because it has an extra Stress affect. If your Heroes don’t need to relieve Stress, you can save the scroll for the next Inn to get the most out of its benefits.
Whiskey Barrel

Even though filling meals are nice, it seems like the cast of DD2 loves parties the most. This whole barrel of whiskey is one of the most useful inn things in the game, and it makes for a great place to improve your relationships. This is exactly what you need to do if you want to build trust in your party or bring people together.
Even though there isn’t much chance of a bad attitude change (it is, after all, a big barrel of alcohol), the Stress heal is a big plus for the Whiskey Barrel. The Whiskey Barrel will be welcomed as long as there is some stress at the party.
